I am Lot Bouwes, a writer and illustrator. My mission is to translate stories into beautiful images and symbolic texts.

I am deeply fascinated by all things mystical and thoughtful. Throughout my life, I have been inspired by stories, poetry, and mystery. With bookshelves full of fairy tales and a background in Waldorf education, it was inevitable that I would turn this inspiration into something tangible.

Writing has been a part of my life for many years. Since 2014, I have been writing books and creating personalized poems. Illustrating came into the picture when, in 2020, I made a drawing for my own wedding. I couldn’t find anyone who could create our card the way I envisioned it. When I shared the illustration online, it went viral, and soon I received more and more requests for personalized illustrations. In 2021, I decided to add my illustrations to my webshop. I create fairy-tale-like images, often hiding small details within them. My entire website is filled with magic and products I have personally written, designed, made, and imagined. I aim to create a little world with every package I wrap.

Ich bin Schriftstellerin und Illustratorin. Meine Mission ist es, Geschichten in wunderschöne Bilder und symbolische Texte umzusetzen.

Ich liebe alles, was mystisch und durchdacht ist. Mein ganzes Leben lang werde ich von Geschichten, Poesie und Geheimnissen inspiriert. Mit Bücherregalen voller Märchen und einem Hintergrund in der Waldorfpädagogik war es unvermeidlich, dass ich diese Inspiration in etwas Konkretes umsetze.

Schreiben gehört seit vielen Jahren zu meinem Leben. Seit 2014 schreibe ich Bücher und erstelle persönliche Gedichte. Die Illustration kam 2020 dazu, als ich eine Zeichnung für meine eigene Hochzeit anfertigte. Ich konnte niemanden finden, der die Karte genau so gestalten konnte, wie ich sie mir vorstellte. Als ich die Illustration online teilte, wurde sie viral, und bald erhielt ich immer mehr Anfragen für persönliche Illustrationen. 2021 beschloss ich, meine Illustrationen in meinen Onlineshop aufzunehmen. Ich kreiere märchenhafte Bilder, in denen ich oft kleine Details verstecke. Meine gesamte Website ist voll von Magie und Produkten, die ich persönlich geschrieben, gestaltet, gemacht und erdacht habe. Ich möchte mit jedem Paket, das ich verpacke, eine kleine Welt erschaffen.
